The governors invite applications for the post of Headteacher following the retirement of the current Headteacher at this successful, over-subscribed, Roman Catholic 11-16 mixed comprehensive of over 1200 pupils (Group 7).

St Matthew's is a long-standing successful technology college with a vibrant City Learning Centre on site. Current developments include a post 16 Catholic provision for vocational education in partnership with Loreto College and MANCAT, to open in September 2004. The school is based in the 100% urban catchment area of North East Manchester, and is a leading member of a very successful Excellence in Cities Cluster Group. The school is also a member of the Manchester Catholic Education Partnership.

The successful candidate will have/be:
